Although I have not seen David for several years, I have often thought of him, and his death is a terrible shock. David was a man of many interests and talents. When I first met him he was studying French. In about 1997 we went to France, and visited the village in Provence where the Guichards came from. We found the actual house that his ancestor lived in before he emigrated. The pictures from our trip (posted on this site) show some of the qualities I best remember about David--his sweetness, sense of humor, joy in life, and boyish charm. My thoughts are with the whole family, especially Philip and Steven.
